Dress Code

Students, please be advised, administrators will be enforcing dress code and the use of student IDs on campus beginning the first day of school. Beneath is the school district policy- Policy 5.182 outlining the dress code and Policy 5.0115 outlining the required use and display of student photo identification badges. Please plan accordingly.
SDPBC District-Wide Student Dress Code - Policy 5.182
Attire with language or images that are crude, vulgar, profane, lewd/obscene, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive.
Attire with symbols, mottoes, words or acronyms that promote illegal or violent conduct, such as gang symbols, the unlawful use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco or drug paraphernalia, or clothing that contains threats.
Attire associated with discrimination on the basis of age, color, handicap, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, race, religion, or sex.
Clothing that is sexually suggestive or revealing (including, but is not limited to, that which exposes the midriff, undergarments, have plunging necklines, muscle tops, backless clothing, and are constructed of see-through materials.
Clothing which, because of fit, design, color, texture, inadequate coverage, or other factor, creates classroom or school disorder or distract the attention of another student or students in any class in session from the lesson being presented or from any other assigned school activity, or which creates a safety or health hazard for any student in the school
Student Photo Identification Badge (ID Badge) - Policy 5.0115
All students (Pre K through 12th grade) are required to have their current School District issued ID badge displayed anytime while on District property.
When deemed appropriate by school administration, ID badges may be required at school-sponsored events and while being transported on District buses or other district sponsored, hired or operated vehicles.
Cell Phone Use - Policy 5.183
Florida State Statute (FS 1006.07 (f)) and School Board Policy (5.183) prohibit student cell phone use during instructional time and require teachers to designate an area for wireless communications devices during that time.
- In our effort to abide by state law and school board policy, students will be asked to secure their cell phones throughout the entirety of each class period.
- Students will have access to their cell phones before school, during transition times (between classes), and during lunch.
- If you need to reach your child urgently, please call the main office at 561-641-1200.
Lancers: Wear Your ID
Students are required to wear their ID while on campus. For safety, this ID must be worn at all times.
There is a $5 replacement fee for any new student ID cards. Parents/guardians will automatically be notified if their child is issued a replacement ID.
